Breaking Into the Freelance Greeting Card Market -- a market that remains stable and prosperous for creative card text writers. Besides the traditional greeting card messages, greeting card companies are constantly looking for fresh and innovative ideas and concepts. Most companies employ staff writers but the opportunity for free-lancers is substantial. Many greeting card companies encourage free-lance writers to submit regularly and even send out a newsletter periodically. Writing greeting cards is a great way for writers to make part-time money. You might even be one of the lucky ones that can write cards full time. The success a free-lancer can expect from writing text depends on talent, careful adherence to wants and needs of card companies, and enough time devoted to studying the market. You must also devote your writing to new ideas.

Students will learn the facts, tips and tricks of becoming freelance greeting card text writers. The instructor will provide lots of netlinks and ideas based upon her extensive experience. She will be available to assist the student in revisions and marketability through their use of lesson assignments and extra credit.

Earn a certificate (both hard copy and electronic) upon successful completion (additional charges apply). UniversalClass™ offers many wonderful learning tools to help you get the most out of your online course, including an online portfolio service that manages all your course completions.

Course Description

Fun, easy course in greeting card writing - and you don't need to be funny!  We all have great ideas but if they're not submitted in the proper form, it's the same as having no idea at all.  And the proper form is easy.  Maybe you'd like the extra income $$$$.  I'll show you how I have added a sweet side income to my life. I'll share with you my experience in this field learned in over 35 years writing greeting card text.  Everything you need to know will be presented within this course.  I'll give you honest feedback on your ideas marketability.  I'm always available by email and interested in your success.

One student made $75 for TWO words on a post-it note: "When's recess?"  The company added a picture of a frazzled looking teacher and sent him a $75 check!  When's the last time you made $37.50 per word?  That check could have been YOURS.
